About Bri Bendixsen

MA

In my practice, clients improve their lives by reconnecting with nature, joy, spirit, rest, self, and community. My clients tend to be people that want to put in the work, challenge themselves, learn how to hear and trust the answers that they already have within, and receive more from life. They are ready to reconnect with their true selves, and I’m honored to guide people on their path to find tools that can lead them to amazing breakthroughs. I truly believe that one of the best tools we have in breaking the cycle of hopelessness and achieving lasting healing is through non-ordinary and altered states of consciousness. My practice focuses on the use of legal psychedelics as a tool to access the inner-healing intelligence that we all possess.

I am inspired by introducing psychedelic healing work to clients or supporting them in furthering their own psychedelic exploration and integration. My approach is informed by traditional mental health training and innovative psychedelic research alike, and I use my extensive knowledge to help my clients get the most out of their therapy sessions. My approach is a blend of therapy, guidance, and coaching. My clients are also supported with practical tools and homework that promote integration and growth between sessions.

Currently, I utilize ketamine in my therapy practice and look forward to integrating additional psychedelics as they become legalized. I have seen first-hand the incredible data and research that supports the capacity of psychedelics for healing and I have been a part of the pioneering force that advocates for the use of psychedelics in mental health practices. I am currently a co-therapist on the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) Phase 3 trials for MDMA-assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD, and worked for years prior as the study coordinator.

In addition to advanced training in psychedelic experiences and integration, I am a co-founder of Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI) and a KAP training lead faculty member. I serve as a board member with The Nowak Society, where I am creating and directing “Emergence: A Psychedelic Education Festival," a festival currently in development and curated to raise awareness of the current state of psychedelic research, highlight various professional organizations and advocacy efforts, and offer the broader public a space to build community and learn accurate information about psychedelic medicines.

My approach combines client-centered, humanistic, and mindfulness-based approaches with tenants of psychedelic therapy, including a focus on tuning in to one’s inner healing intelligence. This is a methodology that values wholeness, spirituality, and innate wisdom. It’s time for us to focus on our true selves, shift perspectives, face challenges, laugh, and grow.
