About Caitlin Walk

LCSW

I am confident that my kind, empathetic, and eclectic approach to working with clients will be beneficial to help you grow and feel supported in the therapy space. With a focus on the therapeutic relationship and meeting clients where they are, I use my sense of humor to make clients feel welcome in a space free of judgment and preconceived notions. I believe that self-compassion and acceptance of self are important parts of making progress not only in therapy, but life in general, and Iā€™m excited to help you improve and maintain those skills.

I will take the time you need to heal and will empower you to realize your strengths in all situations. My approach to therapy incorporates Cognitive Behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, client-centered therapy, strengths-based therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work and went on to earn my Master of Social Work from the same institution. Over the last 8 years since earning my license in clinical social work, I have worked with a variety of clients and continue to build my clinical skills working with diverse populations. I enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, grief, attachment issues, relationship issues, and trauma, specifically intimate partner violence and sexual assault.

I am excited to help you on your journey to healing!
